Our Values

Values stand at the very core of human decision-making. When we work in an organisation whose culture aligns with our personal values, we feel liberated. We are able to bring our full selves to work. We are not only bringing our energy, our creativity, and our enthusiasm and passion, we also bring our commitment to the well ‐ being of our associates and the success of the organisation. Unleashing this energy is tantamount to liberating the soul of our business

Globally, there are four major issues preoccupying the discussions and thinking in boardrooms today, and it is no different for NetXcom. These are:

  • How do we build a sustainable business in this new digital age?
  • How do we retain our talented people?
  • How do we build brand loyalty?
  • How do we ensure that ethics permeate in our corporate culture

i-CHART fully embodies our values we live daily at NetXcom, and in order to support this, every manager and executive of the business is required to subscribe to our values of i-CHART

I - Integrity
C - Continually improve
H - Honesty
A - Accountability
T - Team
Logo - eXcellence

We support these values by subscribing to Unashamedly Ethical campaign and it is required that the entire leadership of NetXcom participates in this programme. To be part of this campaign, our leadership makes the following commitments:

  1. To be entirely truthful in all I say
  2. To be faithful to my family relationships
  3. To do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but to look out for the interests of others
  4. To refuse to elicit, accept or pay any bribes and to encourage others to do the same.
  5. To be diligent without being harsh, and striving to be just and fair
  6. To be a peacemaker
  7. To do my work wholeheartedly
  8. To submit myself to just and ethical governing authorities
  9. To remember the poor by investing generously and sacrificially in the broader community
  10. To collaborate with my peers to impact our community and nation

In “Corporate Culture and Performance, John P. Kotter and James L. Heskett” it clearly shows that companies with strong adaptive cultures based on shared values outperform other companies by a significant margin. They found that, over an eleven ‐ year period, the companies that cared for all stakeholders grew four times faster than companies that did not. They also discovered that these companies had job creation rates seven times higher, stock prices that grew twelve times faster, and a profit performance ratio that was 750 times higher than companies that did not have shared values and adaptive cultures.

In “Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies , Jim Collins and Jerry Porras” show that companies that consistently focused on building strong values ‐ driven cultures over a period of several decades outperformed companies that did not by a factor of six, and outperformed the general stock market by a factor of fifteen. 3 In Firms of Endearment , Sisodia, Wolfe and Seth shows that companies that care for all stakeholders equally—employees, customers, investors, partners and society—are committed to exemplary citizenship, and embrace servant leadership outperformed the S&P 500 and the “great” companies identified by Jim Collins in Good to Great by significant margins over the long ‐ term. According to the authors, these companies had a humanistic soul which is exactly what we believe we have at NetXcom.
